Preparing
Aromatherapy Baths
To
introduce the essential oils you have chosen for the type of bath you
wish to prepare it is first necessary to mix the oils with a base oil
or carrier. The best of these will be produced by what is called 'cold
pressings' and if possible these oils should be from the first pressing,
and are known as virgin oils .There are various base oils available
some of the best being:- Sweet Almond, Sunflower Seed, Grapeseed, Sesame

Aromatherapy Oils That Will Help Alleviate Depression
Basil
grows in many varieties but the one most favoured in Aromatherapy is
French Sweet Basil. Obtained by the distallation process and has a clear
and spicy aroma reminiscent of aniseed and generally stimulates the
whole nervous system. Basil blends well with other oils, including sage,
geranium, bergamot, orange, peppermint, neroli, frankincense, and lemon.
Often used as a massage oil, in baths, as an inhalant, or as a room

Some Less Well Known Essential Oils
Benzoin has a sweet, smooth, warm aroma, making it stimulating, warming
and soothing when used as an inhalation. It is useful massage oil being
warming, comforting and brings relief to aching muscles and joints the
same effect can also be achieved by adding a few drops to your bathwater.
When applied to the skin as a cream it is soothing, skin protective,
antiseptic, astringent
and has deodorising properties.
Can be used as a steam inhalant where it is particular useful for coughs,
colds, bronchial problems and also produces a calming and stimulating
