What is Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is the therapeutic use of essential oils to treat our body’s physical, mental and emotional disorders. It is often used as an Alternative or Complementary treatment to “orthodox” medical treatments.

What are Essential Oils?
Essential oils are produced by extracting various oils and resins from plant material such as flowers, leaves, roots, bark, fruit, berries, peels and stems roots and this extraction process produces fundamental properties of the plant into a concentrated liquid form.. What are Essential Oils used for?
They can be used to treat a variety of illnesses, conditions and complaints. Some oils have a balancing effect on the body, others help the user to relax or have an uplifting and stimulating effect. They are increasingly being used in hospitals or to complement orthodox medicines. They are generally used in the following manner
In the bath
Body massage Oils
Water compresses
Fragrancers
Garles
Inhalants
Aromatherapy Sprays

Can Essential Oils be used directly on my skin?
Essential Oils in their pure concentrated form can be very strong and it usually not recommended that they are applied directly to your skin.
It is more usual to mix them with a base or carrier oil which decreases the possibility of skin irritation.

Can I take Essential Oils orally?
It is not recommended that pure Essential Oils be taken by eating or drinking because Essential can vary in srength an possible toxicity it is wise to treat them with respect A Doctor or qualified Aromatherapist should be consulted before you attempt ingesting EOs.

How to store Aromatherapy Oils
Essential oils are best kept in dark glass bottles, preferably with screw tops and usually made from dark glass. They should be kept away from direct sunlight in a cool dry place.
